"Tennessee minimum wage ---- The Tennessee House Employee Affairs Subcommittee has approved a measure to create a $6.15 minimum wage in the state. The proposal moves on to state lawmakers to decide."
If this item is true, help me write a stinging reply to this guy:
"HUGE mistake. Anyone who follows basic economics understands that companies forced to pay more for each laborer will be able to afford LESS laborers. This will help those working in the short run, but in the long run, companies will be forced to choose between more benefits or more workers. The extra money has to come from somewhere...higher prices, usually. And if workers are more expensive, fewer will be hired, which means the current employees will have MORE work to do for little more compensation. Free markets work best when they are not encumbered by counterfeit market indicators."
Oh I got these things off nooga.com, he's not so reliable!
