Should we all request paper ballots on Election Day? Will our votes count then?

My precinct used electronic touch screen machines in '06. I did not like them. The elderly were very confused & needed much assistance from the poll workers. Workers were in the booths with them & the possibility of workers entering a vote "they" wanted would have been quite easy. (I'm not making any accusations, just stating a "possibility".)

Since these monstrosities cost us an arm & a leg, I'm pretty sure they will use them again this year.

We know these can be tampered with even from afar.
I want my vote to count, so I believe I'll request a paper ballot.

What do y'all think? Do you plan to do the same? :shrug:

I have often wondered if my vote really was counted correctly last election. I live in the real red part of Tn. (east) and I sure do not trust these machines. I believe that I will ask for a paper ballot also.:think:

- on the other hand, considering the Metro Election Commission's recent history, they'd probably just let someone end up stealing that too....
