I know there is a chess center in Memphis as well, but I'd just like to throw up a link for our local center: www.nashvillechess.org

If you're looking to support a great nonprofit, or you'd like to find a great day camp for your children, check us out. We have a great atmosphere (2611 Belmont Blvd-West Nashville). Chess may improve childrens' test scores and problem solving skills. Also, come out to weekly Kids' chess on Sunday 1pm-4pm.

There are free meetings every Monday and Wednesday Night for adults as well: 6pm-10pm. Some of these are tournaments, others are free lectures.

This is a nonpolitical, nonprofit environment of course.
