TN revenues fall $112M short in April

NASHVILLE - Tennessee's April general fund tax collections came in $112 million below expectations.

Sales taxes missed expectations by $71 million while corporate franchise and excise taxes came in $49 million below projections.

General fund collections have been $920 million short of projections through the first 10 months of the budget year. Officials expect the shortfall to reach $1.06 billion through June.
