What did Republicans know, and when did they know it?

I'm talking about the intern-sex scandal involving state Sen. Paul Stanley. The Memphis Republican resigned last week under pressure from members of his own party.

But it turns out, some of Stanley's colleagues may have been in a position to know a lot more than they've let on.

An apartment complex in the Metro Center area is where Paul Stanley kept his now-infamous love shack. That's the apartment where he brought his legislative intern and took the sexually explicit photos that set off the entire scandal.

Like other Republicans, Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey condemned Stanley's conduct as reprehensible.

In fact, Ramsey said -- after news broke about the senator's affair with intern McKensie Morrison -- he essentially pushed his friend out the door.

Still, Ramsey also kept an apartment there, although he insists he never saw anything.
