Tennessee gubernatorial candidates see special interest money flow.
By Clint Brewer

Wamp came in at a much lower total in PAC contributions at a mere $40,500. About $35,000 of that came from outside Tennessee. After first being elected to Congress in 1994, Wamp initially pledged not to accept PAC money for his Congressional campaigns.

At least one contribution to Wamp came from a Native American Indian business group with holdings in the gaming industry. Wamp’s disclosure shows one $2,500 contribution from the Cherokee Nation Businesses PAC, an Oklahoma organization that states on its web site it has holdings in the gaming industry.
