Tennessee Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey

Tennessee recently elected our first new Speaker of the Senate in 35 years. That job also carries the title of Lt. Governor, next in succession to the Governor. Ron Ramsey, an East Tennessean, won the job over John Wilder, age 85, Tennessee's version of Robert Byrd. I actually met the new Lt. Governor about a year ago while he was attending some sort of community meeting in our building. Strangely enough I met him at the urinal in the men's room. Somehow I find that interesting.
