We can't say for certain, but we don't think it's a good thing when the March of Dimes comes after you when you are running for governor. The leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and infant health has sent this email alert asking its 30,000 members to bombard Ron Ramsey and the Senate Republicans with complaints about their elimination of programs to help sick babies and children.

During our last legislative session, you helped us to protect vital state programs for pregnant women,
infants and children that were at risk of being cut from the state budget. We are now facing those same cuts and need your help to protect them. Without these programs, the risks for poor birth outcomes such as premature birth, low-birth weight, infant mortality, and birth defects will increase. Please contact your Senators AND Representatives TODAY to ask that certain programs be protected.
