Republicans Tout New 'Job Creation' Proposal
Who says Republicans don't care about the jobless? Rep. Glen Casada and Sen. Brian Kelsey have just put out an unintentionally hilarious press release ballyhooing their new legislation "to encourage job creation." It would ban Tennessee cities or counties from imposing on any business any new mandates regarding just about any misguided liberal policy to try to give people a break. The bill names health insurance benefits, minimum wages or family leave.

“There is no doubt that this bill will open up job opportunities, especially for minority teens in Tennessee,” Kelsey says. “Excessive regulations from local governments are unwittingly pricing certain employees out of jobs, especially minority teens, who do not yet have the skill set to demand high-wage, high-benefit jobs.”
