AAR coming to Austin
http://www.austinchronicle.com/issues/dispatch/2005-02-25/pols_naked9.html

After months of rumors, radio industry sources confirm that Air America, the liberal talk format starring Al Franken, is about to find a home in Austin, where the airwaves are still dominated by tough-talking Rush Limbaugh wannabes. Air America is now heard on 48 stations around the country, but on only one in Texas, KCCT-AM in Corpus Christi. An announcement on an Austin affiliate is expected within days, according to one source.

2. Yes!!!!
That's great news. Best news I've heard today. We bought Sirius radio in Dec so we could be portable with it. I'd been listening over the net. This is fantastic news. Now more people in Austin can listen too.

Congratulations to Air America Radio and to us in Austin. Yeah us!!!

4. It actually isn't heard yet in Corpus
For some reason they are having trouble or there is some delay. I'm guessing they are putting in a transmitter.

5. Hopefully so, today I noticed that
There is talking on KCCT, and I was hoping, but it turned out to be Dave Ramsey bleeding through from another station. But the Oldies are no longer on, so the wait continues, I suppose.

6. Fantastic!!!
I didn't like using up my internet dialup allowance time to stream in Al Franken, but, you know, priorities. Glad that we will be able to get it over the radio soon.

For those who don't know..

Al Franken's visit for the Interactive Panel on SXSW will be the inaugeral of the AAR Austin station. Wohoo. Heard it when Kevin and Kevin interviewed Al Franken.

A Conversation With Al Franken will ensue at 3:30pm, Monday, March 14, room 18B of the Austin Convention Center. Four and a half hours earlier, The Al Franken Show will hit the air live on KOKE 1600AM from the State Theater (719 Congress).

I am so GLAD. I have wanted to listen to the Majority Report at home... but I only have broadband at work....

At least we have Kevin and Kevin on KGSR and Dudley and Bob on KLBJ that are liberal friendly..... I just quit listening altogether to JB and Sandy when they blasted Inaugaration Protestors... That was IT! They're so bland anyway....

and RANDI will be BACK next week WOHOOOOOOOO! Happy St. Patrick's Day to US!
