It will be a tremendous event here in the River City.

We voted and got it in Austin instead of Philly or some other city (can't remember now). So it was a big deal to even have it here!

It's cheap and it'll be a BLAST. And you'll learn a hell of a lot and network with tons of other Dems!

Plus, you know....I'll be there!

I wish I could go. A friend of mine who is working with me on our little "Louisiana Demfest" ( www.beaucoupblues.com ) will be going and I think maybe a couple more. So hopefully they can pass on what they've learned. I'm sure it'll be great and I can't think of a better place to have it than Austin.

That weekend I'll be working on/attending the Summer SOULstice (anti-war protest) www.newdemocracyrising.com

That's important work too. Anything you need in the way of training I'm sure we can provide you with afterwords. I think the CD that they will be giving all participants at DemFest '05 for example, might be sent your way. It has all the training materials covered in the conference supposedly. Send me your address via p.m. and I'll see what we can do for you.

Hope you got in if you wanted to. They have reached capacity.

If you can't make DemFest you can always make the Saturday 18th Stubb's show with a lot of cool guests including Howard Dean, Molly Ivins, Jim Hightower and Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. And special musical guests of Joe Ely and the Joe Ely Band, Doyle Bramhall and Tish Hinojosa.
