You did it! Chris set a goal of raising $30,000 from the grassroots by midnight tonight to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of his ethics complaint against Tom DeLay, and you came through! We hit the $30,000 mark a short while ago and there's still 5 hours until our deadline, so let's see how much more we can bring in for Chris before midnight!

On behalf of the campaign, let me be the first to thank you all for your generous support. Chris launched this online fundraising drive hoping to show that grassroots activists across the state are ready to stand up and join the fight against Rick Perry's failed leadership, and your strong reponse has sent that signal loud and clear.

Chris wants this to be a campaign that truly engages the grassroots and rejects the top-down, closed-door politics that have failed us in the past. And with the great participation in last weekend's house parties and the success of this fundraising drive, you've shown that Texas is ready for this new kind of campaign.
