AirAmerica in Dallas, AM 910, WooHoo!
I remember DUers telling me this was in the works over dinner... but I was listening for it on the wrong station...

I'm hoping this might be MORE successful than in a more liberal part of the country, because people here NEED to hear anything they can that isn't the constant RW drumbeat... Any word on how it's doing ratings wise etc.?

2. No ratings for KXEB yet
I've checked already - give it a little more time.

The good news is that KOKE 1600AM in Austin (another AAR affiliate) has somewhere around a 1.5 share - comparable to Dallas' hate-radio haven, KLIF.

3. Yeah for KOKE1600!
I have actually switched to listening to it on normal radio even though I still get in on Sirius. I know that won't last long so I'm getting used to listening to it on radio. And actually it's much better to hear your local station on radio. For one thing I got to hear all the great ads that Joe Ely did for the DemFest Stubb's show. Those weren't on the satellite feed.

I am so happy that we have an Air America radio station in Austin.

Congratulations to Dallas! Let's keep AAR growing.

8. I still listen to it on XM
though, it's not the complete line up. For my XM, I had to take off the antenna from my car, so 990 doesn't come in too well in Arlington/Irving.

5. I know
its so much better than the national ads we get through streaming.....
and I can listen in my car... while walking my dog.... does KOKE have a website yet?? I want a bumper sticker... I want to help promote them!!! I try doing it by word of mouth... mostly telling people who listen on XM that they can hear Randi's entire show....

6. Not sure about the website, BUT...
...there were stickers at the Keep Austin Blue meetup last night, so they do exist.

You should come to those. They're fun and a good way to keep up with the goings on in the progressive community.

7. I know where there are some stickers right now
I had lunch at Rockin' Tomato on 3303 S. Lamar today and I was surprised to see some on the counter. Sweet! I picked up another one for a friend. Maybe all of their locations have some.

Nope they don't have functioning web site yet. Most links for that station still have the Spanish station information. They converted a Spanish language station to an Air America station. The owners are Border Media Partners.

9. They had a bunch of stickers at DemFest 2005
I've got one mounted underneath my own custom Randi Rhodes/KXEB sticker right now.
