Chris Bell has posted a very good blurb on his blog, regarding the possible pay raises for judges. You should all read it.

I'm on my way out the door to a conference in Little Rock til Monday, but wanted to check Chris's site before I left.

Not only am I going to be seeing Wes & Gert Clark again, but we are having a "Frame the Debate" workshop conducted by George Lakoff, himself!! I'm excited.

BTW, I hope any of you who saw him in Austin last night had a great time.

3. Great blog link Mary
Yes, I would love to see that tie in to teacher's salaries. That would be the best support teachers could get. They work 20 times harder than anyone at the Lege.

Mary you will love Lakoff. We got the pleasure of hearing him in Austin last month. Very smart man, and you're getting a whole workshop. Great for you!

I was at the Bell fundraiser last night. Very nice club. Very good crowd. Our usual suspects, but hey we do have to start building that core. There is a good blog post at BOR from Damon McCullar, who by the way has been doing quite a bit of live meeting blogging. I like his coverage.

And there will be another Chris Bell event in Austin this Sunday, and this one is FREE. Got that folks. Come on down and meet your next Governor if you live in the Central Texas Area.

Campaign for National Majority on Sunday July 17
Cedar Door (201 Brazos Street) and begins at 7:00 p.m.
his Sunday, July 17, former Congressman Chris Bell will headline the Austin kickoff of Campaign for a National Majority, a pragmatic political action committee that supports Democratic candidates for state executive offices nationwide. The event will be held at the Cedar Door (201 Brazos Street) and begins at 7:00 p.m.

The event is free and not meant to be a fundraiser. I'll try to make sure that myself or someone from BOR is there to cover the happenings. Below is some more info on the CNM from their press release.
