9. You can, but beware...
The sherriff's office as well as the protestors keep a close eye on whether or not you're "legal", meaning all wheels off the dirt road. The road has some pretty nasty embankments, which would probably be unkind in the rain.

But it's doable.

Today, they had shuttle buses running from a stadium across from Tonkawa Park to the peace house to the encampment.

7. Directions to Crawford from Austin:
Take IH-35 North toward Waco. As you enter the Waco area exit Hwy 6
to FM 185 which will take you directly into Crawford.

Go straight through the light at FM 317. Take a right at the Lutheran
Church (Prairie Chapel Rd). Travel approx. 3 miles (the road will wind
around a bunch). Camp Casey is on the left where Prairie Chapel Rd.
intersects Morgan Rd. The Vigil is on Prairie Chapel road near the entrance to Bush’s ranch.

See web site for how to support the efforts: http://www.crawfordpeacehouse.org/
The Crawford Peace House is located In the center of Crawford, Texas on Hwy 185 and the railroad tracks
9142 5th Street Crawford, Tx. 76638-3037
The Peace House phone is 254-486-0099

10. Getting off at Belton is easier.
Just take Hwy 317 north from Belton, through McGregor and to Crawford.

11. Went last Wed. and did the shuttle thing which was good. What a great
group of caring, helping, thoughtful people. Probably going back this Wed. The supply part of things seems to be well taken care of. What, beside cash, do you think is needed?
