Events like this make me wish I didn't work the night shift :(
I'm in Plano and wanted to go when I heard there was one happening here but I start work at 7 pm.
On a different note but still Plano-related....PISD got it's hands slapped for not keeping up with the increase in minority students---40% of enrolled students are minorities. DMN has a good article w/ stats from each Plano campus.

•Gifted and Talented program leaders have been following committee recommendations to seek more information about why black, Hispanic and low socioeconomic students are underrepresented in the district's Gifted and Talented Programs and the Distinguished Honors Graduation Program. Program staff members are seeking a grant to fund a position to tackle the issue.
•The Multi-Ethnic Committee praised the Multilingual Department for gains but was discouraged that not all schools are participating in a successful pre-kindergarten through third-grade dual-language program.
•The group has concerns that black and Hispanic students are overrepresented in the district's special education population. High test scores among some of these students indicate to the group that students might be wrongly classified.
