Air America bumper stickers for Dallas 910AM (KXEB)

Just saw our first official Dallas AAR sticker today. If you got one of the Austin AAR stickers from DemocracyFest, it looks just like that sticker, except it says Dallas 910AM on it.

We pulled up in front of that car so we could show off our Austin AAR sticker and my own custom Randi Rhodes/KXEB sticker. He started motioning for us to pull over, so we did, thinking we just found another AAR listener to commiserate with.

Turns out the guy in the other car wasn't just a listener - he was a senior account rep for Border Media Partners, which owns KXEB 910AM, and he was glad to see that the station is catching on. He told us a little about the feedback they received so far and some of the upcoming changes to the KXEB lineup (some of you are gonna freak out when it happens).

So, all in all it was a happy discovery that lead to a very nice chance meeting with one of KXEB's heavy-hitters. Huzzah!!

1. Great idea

The Cleveland / Akron station ought to start printing those as a promo for those of us liberal-bumpersticker-wearing-motorists. They would get free promotion and we would link people to the message.

2. It took about five months for KXEB to get their stickers out

I started printing Randi stickers as a stopgap until KXEB got its own stickers out, but I can't help but feel proud of my "bootleg" design.

6. About the lineup changes

Cathedral of Hope is going to start broadcasting on September 11. If you're not familiar with it, it is a very liberal church. It's a primarily gay congregation, along with a lot of straights who are sick of the hatefulness of a lot of churches around here.

So I guess that's our Sunday morning churchin' up. O8)
