4. I am so relieved
I thought the other side would be more energized to vote for some reason since they seemed to be so pissed off about the ban. But I guess not. I saw some fliers at work asking people to vote against the ban and I took them down. hehe. Just doing my part.

The problem is, we need to extend it to bars too. One restaurant that I know of has expanded their bar area so that they can call themselves more a bar than a restaurant. This is TGIFridays. So some are going to skirt the law that way.

5. That was my concern, too. The Surf Club put in a pool table so they
would fall within the "billiards hall" exception (although I would have expected that its ration of food sales to bar sales would have exempted if from the ban.

I think it was a shame voters had only two choices. It would have been nice to vote among (1) no ban, (2) restaurant ban, and (3) bar and restaurant ban.

Also, I appreciated the doctors who supported the ban, but I was disappointed it was such a small percentage of the local medical community who were active. When the local doctors wanted to their patients to give away their right to a legal remedy for medical negligence, the medical community went all out and marched on the courthouse, but when the smoking ban was put to a vote, the medical community's presence was spotty and nowhere as active.

8. That sucks!
At least the music is outside though. I keep waiting for a good band to play at the Surf Club. When is Gary P. coming? :)

7. I'm thrilled!
With all letters to the editor lately I thought it might swing the other way.
