A Report on Bay Area New Democrats event last night.

Let me just say THANK YOU DUers from coming to our event! You guys absolutely ROCK! Next event we will have a table just for DUers!!!

WOW! WOW! WOW! What an evening. At first we thought we only broke even, but we didn't care because it was a HELL of alot of fun! (We later learned we made our fundraising goal)

We had over 230 people show up. We ran out of tables and chairs! It was packed! There was a lot of walk ins. We started the evening with some "America" music like Pink Houses by John Cougar, Born in the USA, Coming to America, America by Ray Charles, some U2, American Idiot by Green Day, and more! It was a rocking place.

Pat Mouk played a few songs about leave no child behind on her guitar. GREAT songs!

We then turned out the lights and watched "Wake me up when Sept ends" by Green Day. http://www.greendayvideos.com/videos/wakemeup/ then went to a moment of silence for our troops overseas.

Then WE ROCKED!!!! My son picked out my introduction music by System of a Down. http://www.bayareanewdemocrats.org/files/intro.mp3. It woke the hell out of everyone! Turn up your speakers to get the full effect of this.

I got a few minutes to rant and rave about ranting and raving. I think I did a fairly good job. (Someone tell me how I did, please)

Then we heard from candidates Chris Bell, David Van Os, Nick Lampson, Sylvia Garcia, Sherrie Matula, and more! They were absolutely on fire!

Yep. WE ROCKED!!!!! And it is all because of our guests! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
