This is part of the national mobilization against the war, with a massive rally in D.C. and events in many other cities. Organized locally by a coalition of more than 25 peace, justice, and religious groups.
Gather at noon in Market Square downtown at 300 Milam. Then march at 12:30 to Houston City Hall for a rally featuring performers, speakers, and chants demanding that U.S. troops be pulled out.

The Decade of Nonviolence - Houston concludes Peace Week with an awards dinner; a vegetarian Indian meal prepared especially for the occasion. Keynote speaker is Dr. Jill Carroll of the Boniuk Center for the Study and Advancement of Religious Tolerance at Rice University.
