10. Do you know when they are shutting down the airport? My cousin

is supposed to fly out of Houston with her two little kids tomorrow. She is lucky. She is flying back to her parents house in Missouri to ride out the storm where she loves to be and with her family. I wish everyone was so lucky.

I do think they, hopefully, learned a lot from Katrina - letting people take their pets, keeping the airport open longer so people can evacuate also instead of canceling flights and stranding many people who thought they could and would get out ahead of the storm, etc.

Hubby works for CO and as of now, they stop flying Friday afternoon. That could escalate, but the flights will be leaving just prior to the weather getting really bad; then all the planes will be flown off.

27. I just called and found out she got out today but her hubby is planning

on riding it out. They live in Sugarland.

the thing is, wherever you go, you might be allright, maybe. There are a lot of questions in that 'maybe'. No one knows. I live about 30-35 miles from the coast, and I am leaving in the early a.m., gladly.
This really sucks.
