A nomination thing for us Texans.
Edited on Thu Sep-22-05 12:23 AM by LibInTexas
I for one, am going through all the Rita/Houston/evacuee posts that are current and recommend (nominate) them.

If this is illegal on the DU then I am truly sorry. But I want to see our story front and center.

1. I don't think that will be necessary
I think people are really interested in Rita.

2. The best idea
Edited on Thu Sep-22-05 12:50 AM by firefox
The best thing you could do is sort through them all and determine which ones are worth recalling. Then compose a thread starter and share them. It would be helpful to have some commentary as to why each link is in your message.

Even if you nominate a thread, it only stays on the greatest page 24 hours after the thread started. So even if you pushed some to 5 votes, it would not matter if they are over 24 hours old. I trust this will be corrected by someone that knows if that is not so.

Somebody kept track of all the Camp Casey threads for a while and everyday would put up his composition and link back to the previous days thread. He did not do a sort, but actually listed them all.

3. I thank you for the idea.
I've been dithering over an answer.

I think my point wasn't to make available a one post resource. Rather, more a kind of look at what the Texas are talking about kind of thing to keep this on "Page One." To kind of stand up and shout, "Here we are!"

Also, many of the posts are time sensitive, and won't really be relevant to what happens tomorrow, as this is a real on-going story.
