Jefferson and Orange County have issued mandatory evacs
Get out folks. If it comes over High Island...that is it.

Jefferson County and Orange County have issued a mandatory evacuation order for the entire county.

Jefferson County Judge Carl Griffith says it will be a staggered evacuation.

There was already a mandatory evacuation order taking effect at 6 a.m. for Sabine Pass.

Port Arthur was to be evacuated beginning at 8 a.m. followed by Mid County at 10 a.m. and Beaumont at noon.

1. My 80-year-old mother refuses
to evacuate. She's going to Fannett to be with one of her little old maid friends.

My father and stepmother are driving their RV to Jasper, claiming that the big pines of East Texas will shield them from the winds.

:banghead:

(Yes, they voted straight GOP. I told my wife that if I ever get this stupid, she should shoot me in the head.)

2. You need to physically take her
Seriously. My ex works for a local radio station here and they just received an advisory that WE will have hurricane force winds HERE--this far inland.
It's making me crazy. None of my neighbors are picking their shit up out of their yards.
This storm looks like it may go up over High Island.
That entire area will be gone if it does that. Fannett will be gone.
Geez...I feel bad for you.

3. PDittie I wish them well
It's tough being the kid when you realize that you know more than your parents but they aren't going to listen to you.

None of us are going to go stupid, because we'll always have something like DU. Use it or lose it!

Take care.

Sonia
