Let me tell you why, look at the vote breakdown

Katy won the election day totals. This is the day she had a bunch or extra help and they got out her vote. What killed her was the early vote, which is usually your very partisan voters. And remember these are usually the conservative voters. The swing voters were in Katy's corner today.

She'll have more time to catch up to him in Nov. She's not giving up and neither are we.

5. Here's a little something to chew on...

I talked to her brother...it seems early voting was done on electronic voting machines. The voting today was done on optical scan ballots. So...let's recap...voting on the machings favored the rethug...voting on real live paper ballots favored Katy. Hmmmmmmm...

6. We always do early voting on machines here.

ES&S, and our optical scanners are made by them too, as well as our tabulating system.

Wish we could've gotten that bill out of Elections. Maybe next year now that Mary Denny is retiring. :D

7. Early Voting...

I'm also saddened to see Katy Huebner lose.

I'm also a very partisan voter these days--quite a transformation from a onetime moderate Republican. I voted early about a day or two after early voting started.

Surely there are more than 5274 eligible voters in that district. What might have happened if 500 more progressives had turned out?

district. No, I take it back, probably more, because that doesn't include the tiny piece of South Irving in that district.

So say 70,000 registered voters.
