I was successfully a precinct judge for my Democratic Primary for the first time (we had 81 voters, 2 provisionals) and I followed that up with holding my first precinct convention. We had 7 attendees, all of whom became delegates, and we passed about 6 resolutions. I had a great time driving up to the elections office to drop off my ballots and thinking, "OK here is where it all goes, this is retail grassroots politics at the best. This is where it starts."
I'm wiped, but I had a great day and I wanna thank all of ya'll here in the Texas forum who rock infinitely. No matter who is the winner or loser, ultimately us here who are the activists doing the hard work for our Democratic Party and our communities are the winners.
