Question re: voting in the runoff?
Now, is it right that somebody who did not vote in either primary can vote in either primary's runoff? I have a small posse of voters that I can probably convince to get out and vote if I nag them. Especially since -- can they sign a petition AND then vote in the runoff? Since it's not a gubernatorial runoff?

2. Ok let me see if I have this right.
If you didn't vote in the primary, you can either vote in the runoff OR sign a petition. Not both.

4. Yes, that's the way I read it.
From the SOS website:
In fact, the following statement must appear at the top of each petition page: "I know the purpose of this petition. I have not voted in the general primary election or runoff primary election of any political party that has nominated, at either election, a candidate for the office of (insert office title) for which (insert candidate's name) is a candidate."

I think the idea is that if you're signing an independent's petition, you have to have independent credentials by not voting in a major party primary, whether in the first phase (March 7) or the second phase (runoff).

5. Yup, sure would suck
To invalidate one of Kinky's or Carole 4names' signatures by getting someone to vote in the runoff.

6. If they think Kinky would make a mighty fine guv
they'd probably vote for Gene Kelly anyway.

I think the smaller (read more controlled) the turnout is, the better.

What we really need is for NO ONE to leave their SD or county conventions without Radnofsky yard signs and bumper stickers. She needs to become a NAME!

8. Welcome to DU, slide. If you're near Houston you can get one
at the campaign office; call for directions at 713-865-0416. If you're not in Houston then of course ask them where you can get one.
