Bwahaha! I unknowingly insulted a LaRouche "Dem" to his face!
This guy stopped by at our neighborhood Democrats breakfast to promote his candidate for state chair, Lakesha Rogers. None of us had heard of her, but politely said we would look into her. Then discussion turned to who the other candidates were. After naming the three widely discussed here, someone said, "And then there's that LaRouche candidate." I said, "Yeah, I heard about that. I don't know their name, but it doesn't matter anyway cuz I'm not voting for a nut." Then we went to discussing what weirdos they are.

Our visitor was very nice and gentlemanly the whole time, but he really didn't seem to know much about his candidate (no written materials, no stump speech; he even mispronounced her name!) or much about the local Democratic party affairs. Very strange. They must live in their own bubble.

1. He sounds like some of the Kinky supporters I've talked to.
Collecting signatures but they no nothing about his views on any of the issues. They like him because he's Kinky.

3. If you remember the LaRouche supporters in Houston
The were wearing all kinds of freaky outfits. Some had
pink or green hair and silvery deely-boppers.

4. They always hang out at the Univeristy of Houston...
being the curious guy I am I picked up some of the literature. It was full of nonsense that I could not follow. I really feel sorry for the young students who are duped into following that guy.

The first time I heard about the Larouche movement was during the Democratic Candidate debates in 2003. When Lieberman spoke, he was booed.
