Parking ticket in Dallas

10 years ago, a friend of mine received a parking ticket in Dallas (summer 06) . The ticket was for parking in a loading zone, but he was actually parked at a METER, in the space in front of the loading zone named in the ticket. He lives in Northern OK and couldn't contest in person, so he opened a hearing by mail, disputing the validity of the ticket. He was never notified of the result one way or another and never paid.

He is going through papers and just remembered the existence of this ticket. He's worried that if it did not come out in his favor it might come back to haunt him.

Sooo.... I'm hoping to find out what the SOL is on unpaid parking tickets in Dallas, hoping that might give him some peace of mind. We've both googled and haven't found any good info. Since DUers are a pretty knowledgeable bunch, I thought someone here might know. I'm not asking for legal advice, just factual info on the SOL.

I think I'll make the call for him since he's worried, lol. Thanks very much for the number- It didn't occur to me to check with the Dallas police instead of the courts themselves!
