I am going to Washington DC in April. Will our Congress people be there Apr 5 - Apr 12?

If so, can anyone give me suggestions for my meeting with Pete Olson (R) Texas 22? What should I tell him that I am concerned about and/or how do approach this man? I want to make my voice heard in person, and I'd like my visit to be productive. I have my own ideas about the environment, economy, the wars, etc. Can anyone else suggest something that I might be able to present to him?

1. Is he your Congressman?

If you live in his district you should try to schedule an appointment with his D.C. office as a constituent. If you don't live in his district, you're probably not going to have any luck actually meeting with him or a high level staffer. They'll probably let you sign the guestbook and leave him a note but won't bother with you too much.

If you get an appointment I would advise you to just pick one topic important to you. Giving them too much information on many topics is just going to be lost on them. Pick something that is really personal to you and be an expert on that topic.

Keep in mind that Olsen used to work for Senator John Cornyn so you already know what kind of ideas he has. There going to be very similar to Cornyn's ideas. - Conservative!
