January 13 2005. Houston, Texas: www.51capitalmarch.com, a Houston-based web site dedicated to eliminating election fraud announced Thursday a lunchtime protest in the park behind City Hall in Houston from 11AM to 1:00PM on Thursday, January 20th. The stated purpose of the event is to protest election fraud that occurred during the November 2nd election in conjunction with similar anti-inaugural activities in other cities around the country. Citing their rallying cry of "Make a Sign and Show Up" used to good effect for the recent March On Washington on January 6th and protests at 41 State Capitols last December 12th, 51 Capital March urges Houston citizens to stand up and voice their objections to our stolen elections and to the loss of our democracy. INAUGURATE YOURSELF!! From dawn to dusk, we call for individuals, organizations and affinity groups to retake public space with street theater, guerilla messaging, banner drops and other forms of creative resistance to tell the world that resistance is fertile in the belly of the beast. My husband and I were planning to go to U of H.

Today a lawyer at work asked him if he was going to
U of H and didn't seem to know about the City Hall deal...
sooo I guess we will go to U of H.

Hope he doesn't get fired.

I plan on going to both. The City Hall event starts at 11:00, the U of H event starts at 12:00 and will probably go later than the City Hall protest. I'll hit City Hall, then head over to U of H around 12:30.

7. Driving in Houston

Driving in Houston is absolutely rediculous. Perhaps if the city were to time the traffic lights a little better and make more highway access the streets wouldn't be so .... oh wait, what I am saying. The city is never going to do anything about it. Silly me.

well the turn out at U H was actaully pretty good for a bit, however not so much at city hall. however at least we can brag that we the city of houston had 2 events:-)
