Richardson, TX City Council Candidate to support
Pris was a campaigner for the Kucinich Campaign in TX - no she is running for office and I urge you to offer her your support.

==========================
Quote:
Over the last few months, a lot of us have been encouraging Pris Hayes to run for Richardson City Council. "Run, Pris! Run!" was our call. Well, it has paid off-- Pris Hayes is running for Richardson City Council, Place 2! And, you are invited to a meetup for fun -- a gathering of friends & neighbors who support this qualified, fair-minded, inclusive candidate running to represent us in one of our greatest communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex: Richardson, TX.

Invitation
Co-Hosts, Mr. Terry Robison; Norma Tomlinson; Carol Klee; Susan Jensen; Winnie Kaczynsky; Judy Nelson, Lyn Hurt, and Julie Spears request your presence:

DATE: February 18, 2005
TIME: 7:00PM - 9:00PM
(open 24 hrs on weekend)
LOCATION: Cafe Brazil

About 1/2 block north of the NW Corner of Campbell RD & Hwy 75 (on the Hwy 75 west side access road between AMF Richardson Lanes bowling alley and Half Price Books; 2071 North Central Expressway), Richardson, TX 75080; Restaurant Telephone: 972-783-9011

FOOD: self-pay (each person pays for their own food); This café serves great sandwiches, burgers, omelets, enchiladas, salads and other tasty dishes; rated Inexpensive. 1. I wish I still lived in Richardson so I could vote for her.
Maybe I can still come to Cafe Brazil. WHat does she intend to use the donations for? Signs and flyers? She should really consider posting information around the UTD campus. There were many Dems on campus back when I lived there. Of course, things change.

2. I don't know a lot - I don't live in TX anymore
But got the announcement via eMail as we came to be cyber-friends during the campaign. She is just a wonderful woman and we all want to take back the party from the grassroots up!

City Council is a good place to start so I am really proud of her.

4. LOL! Yeah
I was down for Christmas and she and I were going to try to get together, but we were both also consumed with dealing with elderly parents concerns and it just did not happen.

Anyway, City Council positions are non-partison, but Pris is a reasonable, populist person, so I think she would be perfect for bridging partison divides to try and do what is best for the city as a whole.
