Ingela Rundquist has been following the Occupy Wall Street movement since its beginning last month and watched it spread across the country. When it arrived in Utah, she decided to drum up support for the cause in St. George.
"When it arrived in Salt Lake City, it kind of kicked it into gear for St. George," Rundquist said Tuesday.
Rundquist, a student of American history and political science at Dixie State College, said the group has held two "general assemblies" since last week, each of which attracted about 20 supporters.
On Thursday at 2 p.m., she said, the group plans to march from the city park at Tabernacle and Main streets to the City Council meeting several blocks away. On Saturday, supporters are organizing a march on a bank starting at 10 a.m. at the city park ...
