Occupy Salt Lake inviting politicians to tour camp of 100-plus protestors in downtown park

SALT LAKE CITY — Protestors in Salt Lake City emulating the Occupy Wall Street rallies are inviting politicians to tour their temporary camp in a downtown park.

Occupy Salt Lake spokesman William Rutledge says they invited 22 city and state officials to their camp of about 150 people on Friday.

Rutledge says the tours will precede an afternoon rally that will include speakers, music and an evening march.

Rutledge says the group is working with city officials to secure a permit that will allow them to stay in the park for up to 30 days ...
