Vermont holds Montclair man in shooting plot

"A Montclair man allegedly plotting a highway shooting spree in Vermont was arrested yesterday after his mother found his illegal semi-automatic rifle and handwritten attack plans in her home, authorities said.
The would-be sniper, 41-year-old Christopher R. Greene, was tracked down to a Motel 6 in Brattleboro, Vt., near the railroad overpasses where he apparently intended to fire at cars traveling on Interstate 91, authorities said.
...It was in that apartment that Kathleen Greene found a .223-caliber Ruger Mini 14 ranch rifle on Tuesday afternoon.
