October 30th
http://webwerk.com/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi/archive/replacevy/20111025185127/"Occupy Wall Street sentiments are resonating across America. One key to the success of
this movement is if it continues to grow. Vermonters' struggle to ensure that Vermont
Yankee closes on schedule is just one more example of the people taking a stand against a
corporation and its obsession with profits to the detriment of communities. Entergy
Nuclear is a poster boy for dishonorable corporate behavior and we are going to make sure
that it abides by the laws of the state of Vermont and ceases operation next spring.
This Sunday, October 30 at noon, Vermonters will be assembling at the entrance to Vermont
Yankee in Vernon VT (320 Gov Hunt Rd). We will be giving VY its notice that we will make
sure that it shuts down as scheduled next March. Please join us as we help swell the
ranks of those who are growing the movement to take back our power as citizens.
Now more than ever, we need to make our presence known. If we support the call for an end
to corporate abuse of our economic system, then we need to do our part and show up. An
hour or so of your time will go a long way to keep us moving forward.
Thanks
Dan DeWalt
