Burner's "mean-spirited campaign".
I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't get the Reichert ads about Darcy Burner running a mean-spirited campaign. I see probably 10 ads for Reichert, exaggerating and flat out lying about Burner's stand on things, for every one of Burner's ads, which I don't see as mean-spirited at all. Is it just me, or do the Reichert people have a funny idea about what mean-spirited means? (And yes, I know that the R's lie, cheat, exaggerate, etc., but sheesh.)

1. Dave Reichert's led a mean-spirited life
I'm sorry, but I just hate that guy with a passion and I will do a happy dance when he loses on Tuesday night. I really wish I lived in the 8th district just so I can vote against that guy.

2. I think it's funny that they call Burner's campaign mean spirited
when Sheriff Dave's isn't exactly filled with love, I don't think I saw but just one sheriff dave commercial that was somewhat positive.

3. That's just a republi-speak version of the 5 year old's cry of
"She hit me back first!"

In their twisted little world, Democrats are 'mean spirited' when they tell the truth about the repub candidate. It's a typical repuke Bizarro-world reversal of Adlai Stevenson's challenge to Nixon: if you don't stop telling the truth about us, we're going to have to start telling lies about you.

4. She hit me back first! LOL!
They are twisted, aren't they? I have never seen a group of people who have the art of projection down as well as the Republicans do.

6. In a rain storm one time,
Edited on Mon Nov-06-06 03:49 PM by Wash. state Desk Jet
Well, Nixon pushed the big military pay raise threw thought it was delayed for a month. retro active though the first being double.Got myself a little pad off base to hang out in.

Cool as a moose - twenty four hour card games going on all the time, never a dull moment.
It was almost surprising how many gold rimed hats hung on the old hat hanger. If thats what those were.

A rain storm came along and flooded the intire county and state, South Carolina. Rain and rain and rain and rain. Winds blew at an excess of 100 mph.

Oh shit ,I have the duty, ah, the roads are all closed said a fellow player, you will just have to stay and play.
Na, I can,t do that I said, my chief was here the other day and lost, and ah, no storm is going to stop him-especially if he figures I ,ll take the oppertunity to pass on this one.

So, 100 mph. winds and rain and rain and rain ,I went out in it and somehow managed to get back to the ship.

Just befor I got there my chief arrived ,they say with a unusual smile on his face!
He asked if deskjet was on board yet!?
Your not the only one looking for him right now.! said the duty watch officer !

Hay, deskjet said the duty officer ,your chief is looking for ya, and he had a rather unusual smile on his face when he asked,- did you ah, clean his clock ! No, ah, I mearly bluffed him,why do you think he thinks I will be untimely in my entrance?

I really wouldn,t know what he may have in time of mind right now!
I can call down to the chiefs mess and tell him you are indeed on board. Thanks but no thanks I,ll just assume the watch .

By the way you and your chief are the only two that somehow managed to get to the ship!
outstanding!

As the day progressed ,and as it turned out nobody was intrested in going out there on liberty. My chief put in for duty standby for he and myself ,since nobody was intrested in going out there.

The winds died down somewhat but the rain kept up.My chief said," Hay, deskjet, your not afraid of a little rematch are ya?" Hell no!
Alright than-lets get to it,find a rain coat or a plastic bag or something , we,re hittin the road! Since Darcy isn,t afraid of the rain either ,on a weekend like this one, I,de say she disrives the vote.So just vote for her.

7. I think the Republicans have been taking more "feign feign"
I don't know if you watch Real Time on HBO, but Bill Maher had an opening skit about how up in arms the Republicans get over the least little thing. He was advertising for a pill called "feign feign", for those who want to continue with their feigned outrage over nothing. It was hysterical. Then I read the letters to the editor in the Sunday paper, especially in the Seattle Times section, and there were LOTS of people writing in about Kerry's botched joke who had absolutely overdosed on "feign feign".

8. You beat me to the punch.
Apparently it's "mean spirited" to show Bush and Reichert arm in arm.

10. You're not the only one.
I was boggled when I kept hearing about Burner's 'mean-spirited campaign.' Honestly, I've not heard a single slur come out of her or her campaign in reference to Reichert. Who, by the way, I've heard plenty of mean-spiritedness from.

11. From the responses, I see I'm not the only one.
It just continually boggles my mind that these people project all their crap on others, again and again and again.

12. EMILY's list ran those Burner ads
I love EMILY's list and love the truism that the acronym implies.
I gave to them and will again now!
