Washington Environmental Council 2007 legislative priorities

The environmental community has never been in a better position to accomplish these goals. In 2006, we successfully passed three out of our four Priorities. We have the most supportive legislature and governor in recent history and our power has grown significantly after working together to pass The Clean Energy Initiative (I-937) and to defeat I-933 at the polls this past November.

Come to the Capitol for Lobby Day!

We will only win if we can demonstrate a broad base of support in Washington for our agenda. The Priorities for a Healthy Washington Lobby Day on Feb. 14th (http://www.pugetsound.org/index/siteevent-details-action/id.254) is the most important way community members can influence their legislators during session.

Join us as we work to make this year’s Lobby Day the biggest ever. We need to talk with thousands of our supporters from across the state over the next three weeks and invite them to lobby day. We will host several phone banking parties in Seattle combining cutting edge technology, good food, and some old fashioned fun.
