Registration deadlines fast approaching
If you live in the City of Seattle, Skykomish or Highline school districts, areas with special elections on March 13 and haven't registered to vote, you have until Saturday, Feb. 10 to mail in a registration form. Monday, Feb. 26 is the last day for new Washington voters to register in person at the King County Elections office.

To register to vote in the March 13 Special Election:
* You must be 18 years old by March 13;
* You must be a United States citizen;
* You must be a resident of King County.
Who cannot register to vote?
* Anyone who does not meet the requirements for registration.
* Anyone declared by the courts to be mentally incompetent.
* Anyone convicted of a felony, and has not had his/her civil rights restored.
King County Elections is open weekdays from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. and will extend its office hours on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 9 to 3 p.m. to accommodate the public.
