As you probably know, NARAL Pro-Choice Washington and thousands of supporters like you strongly objected when the Board of Pharmacy proposed rules that would have allowed pharmacists to refuse to fill birth control prescriptions last year.
The Board has now put forward two rules which protect patient access to prescriptions. Those rules will have a public hearing on March 29. We must ensure that Washingtonians who support access to birth control are strongly represented at the meeting.
Public Rules Hearing
Thursday, March 29
9:15 am
Renton Community Center

RSVP: BlytheChandler {at} ProChoiceWashington.org
Anti-choice organizations will be organizing people to attend the meeting, so we need to be sure that the Board hears from us as well.

Thank you for issuing draft rules that succeed in protecting the health care needs of patients while respecting the professionalism of pharmacists. I support these rules.
Please adopt the proposed rules.
The duty of every pharmacy is to ensure that customers receive needed drugs in order to protect and promote public health and safety.
Please adopt rules that ensure all patients can access valid prescriptions at their community pharmacy without hassle or delay.
Patients should be able to trust their local pharmacist and pharmacy to provide needed medications. These rules are necessary to protect that trust.
