Hope this is ok to post here (looking for a cast foster)

The young kitty is in my bedroom right now, recovering from her spaying surgery today. She also received shots, flea treatment, and tested negative for feline leukemia. I have been trying to find homes for her and her siblings for awhile, and did manage to adopt out two. One I had really bonded with went to his new permanent home today, and luckily I will be able to visit him (which is not a stipulation but would be ideal).

These little kits have been living outdoors (in a semi sheltered area) for all of their young lives (less than a year old) but aren't feral-one has even become a lap cat (he will be really hard to say goodbye to, but I might see if my cat can overcome her divaness to accept a little brother). The female is the most timid, and the only one who hasn't let me pet her, but she is always on alert outside and I think she'd enjoy being a quiet indoor cat in safer feeling quarters. There is a raccoon that comes around to their feeding area and now there is construction just across the street so I have heightened concern about their safety. I am feeling such an urgency I would be so grateful if someone could foster her for even a day or two while I expanded my search for a good permanent home or another foster. Tomorrow or Friday would be ideal while she is already in my home, I'm not sure if I would be able to canoodle her back into a carrier again once I release her back to teh elements. In the meantime I am enjoying bonding more with her being drowsy right now and marveling at her soft black fur, with a few white wisps.

Here is a photo of her brothers, who she resembles but is a little smaller and has a spot of white on her chest.

1. God bless you, freepless
I wish that I was a little closer. Poor little cats- it is so sad. I wish people would spay their animals.

One mother cat- and her offspring, will reproduce over half a million cats in the course of seven years.

I do some volunteer work for this awesome no-kill shelter (www.angelswithpaws.net) and have done a lot of foster care for them, the first being a very geriatric older tabby. I knew that it was basically hospice care, but Tigger touched me with his sweet spirit.

My daughters and I have also fostered many kittens, but we have stopped, as we have become 'foster failures', adopting too many of our charges. You really fall in love with them.

Have you checked with the local animals shelters? Sometimes, even if they are full, if they know that it will be a short term stay, they will help.

Good luck and thanks for caring.

2. Thank you!
and thank you for suggesting to ask the shelter about temporary foster. That might be just the window I need until I (hopefully) find her a forever home.
