I thought that considering Rush Limbaugh has been kept on the air through all of his legal woes, they could have kept Mike Webb on the air. But KIRO wouldn't even discuss it.

Anyone got time for a quick check on reported Missing Persons? Don't know about the trial being illegitimate, though. Still, give all that Limpballs gets by with, the verdict shouldn't be a showstopper.

Note: I say - "according to." Why? The blog "Blatherwatch" has been attacking Webb and other hosts for years. You can't trust anything there.

NEVERTHELESS - Mike could be missing! Indeed, Webb is no longer streaming a nightly program at 9pm at http://mikewebb.org Mike's blog at http://mikewebb.org hasn't been updated since mid-April.

I wish that "Mr. Blatherwatch" (aka Michael Hood) would MAKE IT CLEAR if Mr. Webb is TRULY missing.


Please, Mr. Hood, a missing person is NOTHING to joke about. Make it clear this time.

We need to work together - as a COMMUNITY of broadcasters - and progressives - to find out if Mike Webb is SAFE.

Imagine yourself in Mike's situation: Mike was inappropriately fired and harassed by numerous blogs. Mike was inappropriately convicted in February of this year, 6 weeks before his dissapearance. All of this because someone
probably hacked into his computer and stole his IP address. Imagine yourself in this situation, to be fired over a stolen IP address, after 38 years in radio in big markets on the West Coast. And, sadly, because of consolidation, and the apparent and unpatriotic ideological stance of Fisher and Salem management, no other Seattle station hires Mike, despite his huge KIRO ratings, and serving previously as PD of KVI-AM and KIXI-AM.

Since NOBODY in radio takes "blatherwatch" seriously, we could use THESE MODERATED E-MAIL FORUMS (AND OTHERS, NO BLOGS, JUST EMAIL FORUMS) to find out if Mike is SAFE. Key word = MODERATED.

I agree, that Blatherwatch guy not only seemed to have it in for Mike, I think he could have contributed to his mental state. I hope he turns up, safe.

7. KIRO News just ran a piece on him.

They talked to his producer and to the guy from Blatherwatch. They also showed the eviction noticed posted on his house (for lack of rent payment). Not good. :(

This situation really freaks me out.

I hope to hell he just took off and is in hiding or, better yet, is living a good life in a place that doesn't persecute him for having different views than the fascist government we have here.

11. I usually don,t share

my happenings of curiosity as such but, when I went to California just befor the eithty four olympics!there was this position opening on a temporary basis for a dishwasher in one of the local television studios in San Diago!

My first thought was, that I am not the dishwasher type, I am much more of a news annoncer type or a executive adminstrative type!Tough choice between star quality and adminstrative talents!

But you know there were two very motivating factors to consider- one being the oppertunity to under the cover of cloak and dagger find out all the about what goes on behind those camaras in the television studio and two all my money was tied up in stocks and bonds and there was a bit of a cash flow problem!

Do you know there was this pan that the lady that ran the kitchen refered to many many times.She would say-every time a snooty egotistical television star would pass threw her turf-,I,ve had this pan for twenty five years!

Well you know the ownner of the studios son was heading up the place, but the old crow himself was still active in all matters,in and including that very pan.

It might surprise even the most popular stars of the camara just how much clout one old pan can have!

You see what she was saying is this- those egotistical la de das ! come -go-are hired and fired- but that old pan-,it,s here to stay! It has what is known as lastability.
It,s been threw the wars too.And that counts for something!

One day the old crow bar himself walked into the kitchen -just as I was putting her pan carefully on the hook! He saw me lift the pan into place-he noticed perhaps threw some type of facial expression -that care was being taken of that particular pan, he said-you seem to know something about pans! What the importance of a good pan is.

Where is Ella- When you see her tell her I must talk with her on a most important matter! And keep up the good work-you will get far that way!

When Ella returned to her kitchen- I said -a very important seeming elder gentelman was looking for her just about ten minutes ago.Ella said, Did he seem to have a couple of small round objects in his right hand-rather tightly -rubbing the objects togather? I said well yes he did have something shuffeling in his right hand!

I thought so she said-, I really didn,t think that egotistical bum was really going to last very much longer.

Which one is it I asked-as there are more than just a few of those around here,or so you pointed out-and perfectly so If I may so add!

It,s better you don,t know which one for now! for the time being they all see you as a temporary nobody of consequence-but when it comes down-and it will,they will all wonder which one of them it shall be! and anything they can find out from what ever the source will count!

12. Recently

The Seattle P.I. had it,s contract renewed after a lenghty bitter battle between the P.I. Hearst Corp. and the Seattle Times- they are over therein Tacoma what ever corperation that is!
The reporters at the P.I. up until they were notified about the last minute deal that was reached-did not know if they were going to be working very much longer.
Some even many employed by the P.I. expected to come into work one day and find the place locked down.

Some were seeking other employment.
To them a very real impending doom was ahead.

But each and every person held their position and maintained integrity.

Which by the way is not something one sells out for a quick buck.

There is a awful lot of responsibilty that goes with radio and television personalitys.

And to hold up to it,one must also cover ones tail in every thing that one does.
But isn,t that what business is all about?

its very likely that mike webb is missing because he's killed himself. in washington state, there's about 10 zillion places to do it where no one will find you or your car for years.
