Last September I wrote to Senator Maria Cantwell, Senator Patty Murray and Congressman Jay Inslee regarding the September, 2006 Associated Press article which states that the Air Force Secretary suggests:
“Nonlethal weapons such as high-power microwave devices should be used on American citizens in crowd-control situations before they are used on the battlefield.
Domestic use would make it easier to avoid questions in the international community over any possible safety concerns, said Secretary Michael Wynne.”
I asked all three electeds if the U.S. government was planning on using weapons against it’s own citizens. To date, neither Maria Cantwell, Patty Murray, or Jay Inslee has responded to my September 2006 (emailed) correspondence. Apparently they have no opinion, or no problem with this concept.
