1. 2/29 is the last day to drop the phones off
AM1090 has partnered with Cell Phones For Soldiers and is now collecting used cell phones to help our troops call home. The last day to drop off your used cell phones at the AM1090 studios is this Friday at 1000 Dexter Ave N, Suite 100 in Seattle. Cell Phones For Soldiers hopes to recycle old cell phones into more than 12 million minutes of prepaid calling cards for US troops stationed overseas. Until we can bring them home, help them call home.

AM1090 would like you to join us in celebrating the Grand Re-Opening of the AM1090 Online Store. The new AM1090 Online Store is full of brand new merchandise and there is something for everyone. Take a look at our new t-shirt designs, sweatshirts, hats, clocks, mugs and mousepads, bags, buttons and more. CLICK HERE to start shopping. http://www.cafepress.com/am1090

2. None get sent but get turned into phone cards.
At first I thought they were collecting phones to send overseas, but the number that could be used overseas is very limited due to different systems. Now I see that they sell them to a company and turn the money into phone cards. Cool program.

3. You can still donate online even if the official drive is over
Thanks to everyone who donated in our Cell Phones for Soldiers Drive, we collected over 220 items. If you did not have a chance to donate you can go to their website www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com and mail in your cell phones and accessories.
