Hello Friends.
I have a cool story. A friend of mine recently filed for office in the 5th District Washington State Senate. She is an openly gay lesbian candidate. Her opponent is one of those republicans that voted against anything supporting the gay community. However, shortly after filing my Forms to run for office there was a Senate vote on expanding domestic partnership for including more rights from healthcare visits, to property ownership, etc. She voted YES, (and it passed-hooray) and the conjecture is that she is worried her district will see her as not cosmopolitan on gay issues.
So the point is just showing UP to the political process is sometimes tantamount to winning.
I am also asking anyone on this board that is interested in WA politics to contribute to her campaign if you feel that having a democrat turn the Washington Senate 60% Majority democrat and able to modify the constitution a good thing.
The website is a little rocky and still under construction, but it would be nice to hear from you on what she can do to win her race, and or see if anyone wants to contribute.
