Ron Paul supporters take over the state Repub convention
From an Eastern WA contact--

For what's it's worth, the Paul folks dominated the Spokane GOP convention this weekend, forcing through an anti-Iraq war plank and calling for 6-month max
tour in Iraq for servicemen. They openly repudiate both Bush and McCain. The mainstream GOP tried to fight back with an amendment replacing the plank with
a simple call to support our troops 100%. It got stuffed.

From an oppo research contact--

For anyone who thinks WE fight among OURselves, and for anyone who believes the myth that the right wing is disciplined and "on message," I offer this revealing thread. A gold star to whoever reads it from beginning to end, as I did: http://soundpolitics.com/public/2008/04/post_7.html

1. I think the GOP is scared that if Ron Barr runs
he will take the Ron Paul standard and dilute the McCain vote to the Libertarians. I think the GOP civil war post election is gong to be ugly.
