So I got a call today from the Dino Rossi fund raiser...

As he started his spiel I was tempted to just interrupt and tell him I was a Democrat, but then I figured what the heck, the more time he spends on me the less time he spends on someone else.
First spiel was for the $75 hit, and it took him about 20 seconds or so to read it.
I said I was afraid I couldn't send the $75.
So he went into the second spiel for the $50 level, took about another 20 seconds or so.
I told him I was afraid I couldn't send $50.
So up came the third spiel, all slamming Gregoire and the "Democratic Clique" who runs the state.
I told him I couldn't send $35 either, then as he was about to hang up and give it up as a bad deal I asked him if he was a Republican.
He said he was, so I asked him if he was doing this for free.
He said he got paid by the hour.
I then asked if he had ever met Dino Rossi.
He said he hadn't.
I said I had met him, which was true as I'd attended a get-together for Mike McGavick 2 years ago that came to town and Dino Rossi was in the dog and pony show too.
I told the guy I used to be a used car salesman, and he actually said he had also!
So I said "If you used to be a used car salesman, and you ever meet Dino Rossi in person you will certainly know him. I did."
At that point I wished him a good day and hung up.
