4. Yard Sign
WE asked at the Western Wa. State Fair, Democratic booth. They told us we'd have to pay for a sign to put in our yard.

Forget that. Do you ever get the feeling that these people want to beat themselves?

Those signs aren't printed for free. Support the campaign and toss 'em a few damn bucks for it. Sheesh.

7. Whoa there, cut me some slack
I have donated to the Obama campaign and expected to pay for the yard sign. I'm disabled and it's hard for me to get around, so I was just hoping for some info that would help me minimize that. Your next post was very helpful--thanks.

6. in my email this morning
Here at Washington State Democrats headquarters, our receptionist Bertha has been selling Obama merchandise. One item more than others has been selling like hotcakes: YARD SIGNS!

This race is entering the homestretch, and we're all eager to show the world that we stand behind Barack. We won't be distracted by red herrings or McCain and Palin's false claims to be maverick, "change" candidates.

Do you need a sign? To get one, visit, call, or e-mail one of the locations below:

If you live in King County:

Washington State Democrats office
615 2nd Avenue, Suite 580
Seattle, WA 98104
(206) 583-0664
bertha@wa-democrats.org

Seattle Campaign for Change office
1310 Mercer St.
Seattle, WA 98109

If you live in Pierce County:
(call first for availability, supply is limited)

Pierce County Democrats office
3049 S 36th St
Tacoma WA 98411-2168
(253) 473-6812
pcdems@harbornet.com

If you live in Snohomish County:
(call first for availability, supply is limited)

Snohomish County Democrats office
2812 Lombard Avenue
Everett WA 98201
(425) 252-2305
contact@snohomishdemocrats.org

For a $10 donation, you will get a sign and a metal stake to mount it with.

But wait -- there's more! You can also purchase t-shirts, baseball hats, bumperstickers, and buttons. For pictures, click here.

10. Donations
I have donated plenty to the Democratic party both in this state and nationally.

I'm not paying for a yard sign. They can post one free in my yard if they wish. I won't charge them. I understood donations were used for things like this for the campaign, as well as for lots of other things that would cause voters to reflect, then vote for the Democratic candidate. Paying big bucks to attend luncheons with the candidates, and those who endorse them is one thing, but paying for signs to be put in your yard is just...nonsense.

I think the party has gone bonkers in some ways.

11. A very very long time ago

A Friend of mine ran for political office. It was funny to his opponent because my friend was seemingly too young and had no experience,in fact he was working his way toward his degree. Aside from that he was branded a known radical in locality in 1968. I was too young to vote.

I made up a bunch of flyer's and got everybody I knew to put those flyer's up anywhere and everywhere ,just for fun! He was running for school superintendent. I mean after all the military was rounding up recruits in the high schools in those days.

Anyhoo, something happened along the way the fun carried over through all the schools in locality,a nineteen year old school superintendent, cool!
Anyhoo flyer's circulated on a wide spread scale. Suddenly this friend of mine became a political threat.

And by the time 1972 came along it was not even a joke .

Isn't that your grass roots movement?

Get creative ,make one. You will than be in the real groove ,rather than trying to be like those connected ones !

12. Are they still charging?
They have a lot left, and should just start giving them away.
