1. Election Night Potluck @ Big Al Brewing

Come out to White Center’s only brewery for a potluck dinner, tasty beverages, and watch election night results on the big screen.

When: November 4th

What time: Doors open 3pm (or after you’ve voted) and will stay open until midnight

Where: Big Al Brewing Co. 9832 14th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98106 Ph. (206) 453-4487 www.bigalbrewing.com

What to bring: This is a potluck…if everyone brings a small main dish and a small side dish we should have plenty for all. Ice Cream will be provided by Ann and Justin at Full Tilt Ice Cream of White Center.

Donations: Some rocky times are around the corner and many of our neighbors will be caught short and unable to provide for their families. You can help by bringing non-perishable food items for the White Center food bank or with a donation of $20 or more receive a unique limited addition “Obama brick” as an election night keepsake.

3. ACORN having parties in Seattle, Everett and Tacoma
VOTE FIRST, Celebrate second!

Tuesday, November 4, 2008

Vote and be heard! Then join us in celebrating our democratic process in Seattle!

Join other members at your local ACORN office to carpool to the big post-election party.

Wear red -- your favorite ACORN shirt -- don't have one? No worries, we do! Or wear other red for solidarity as we mingle with our elected officials as the polls close.

Our families welfare is in the balance, so be heard!

Meet your lawmakers and tell them what to move toward in the coming term. For carpool to the Washington State celebration, meet at the following locations:

Tacoma Members - meet at Brenda Leischsenringer's home, 3637 Tacoma Ave South @ 5:00pm

Everett Members - meet at the Everett ACORN office, 2812 Lombard Ave @ 5:00pm

Seattle & King County Members - meet at the Burien ACORN office, 134 SW 153rd St @ 6:00pm

For more details, or to confirm you'll be there, call 206-723-5845.

4. WA State Dems collecting election night party info for their website

We are putting together a list of Election Night Parties, which we will display on our website and potentially blast out to our list. The Caucuses allowed us to bring a lot of people into the Party, and Election Night is another event that will have similar, broad appeal. We want to help you publicize it!

If you are hosting a party or know of your local candidate’s party that is open to the public, please send the location and time to misty {at} wa-democrats.org.

Please include the following information:

• Host of the party
• Host contact phone number and email
• Location
• Time
• Anything else that is noteworthy

Many thanks,
Sincerely,
Jaxon Ravens

Executive Director
Washington State Democrats

The 11th LD is hosting a gathering at:

www.mickkellysirish pub.com

435 SW 152nd St
Burien, WA 98166
(206) 246-2473
Get directions

Larry Grubb, 11th LD PCO Activities Chair (along with George Summers) is organizing it for us. You can call Larry at 206.855.6340 E-mail is not a timely or reliable way to reach Larry.

I understand people will be there as early as 4:00 p.m. It will go as long as the Democrats are there to see the returns (all night). I know that King County Council members, legislators from the 11th and the 33rd, along with political figures from the 5 cities in our districts are welcom and may come by. This will be a fun place to be for the election returns and to savor the Victory after thousands of hours of hard work to get Change We Need! - Susan Kruller, 11th LD Democratic Organization Chair
