Election Support in King county

This is it - the time we have been preparing for -- GENERAL ELECTION DAY NOVEMBER 4th!! We have helped staff the polling location (inspectors and judges) and the official Democratic paid observers at King County Elections Headquarters. Emily Willoughby is our Vice Chair of Elections and has done a terrific job.

We are operating from home at the Renton Carpenters Hall where our office is located is a polling location. Office phone will be forwarded to my cell. The King County Elections support staff refers all Democratic questions to our numbers and this year, we have the taxicab companies standing by with donated service for those requiring assistance in getting to the polls.

All Legislative District Chairs and KCDCC Officers (and taxicab company reps) were given enlarged copies (36 x 48 inches) of the polling location file from KC Elections -- it's a great reference as it is sorted by city by precinct.

PLEASE NOTE: Special accounts had to be set up with the taxicab companies for collection of donated service cost. Dr. Mahadeep Virk is donating from the Indian Outreach Program for Farwest and the Seattle Taxi Owner Association is donating for all others. Please use the account names when phoning for assistance. Also remember to tell them if handicapped vehicles are required for your voters. If you have any difficulty, please phone Dr. Virk directly at 206.786.5351 for assistance. He will be working with Michelle Gregoire at law offices in Renton during the day.
