The campaign has set up online phonebanking. Contact Erin Schultz erineileen {at} gmail.com to get set up, and please spread the word. The VoteBuilder people are doing matchbacks, so this is an efficient way to get to people who are not voting.

Let’s not kid ourselves about what is at stake in the special election for King County Elections Director on February 3rd. We cannot afford to split the Democratic vote and give the office to one of the Republicans running for that office. The reason they are running is to make voting as difficult and unpleasant as possible for King County voters, particularly lower income, minority and homeless voters. Republican officeholders are committed to the notion that voting is not actually a citizenship right and privilege, but a carnival kewpie doll prize that you can only win by getting past all the barriers they put in your way. As you know we need an elections director who will ensure transparent and accountable elections, but this critical campaign is not on most voters’ radar.
PDC filings list David Irons raising the most money ($115,000). Huff has only raised $21,000.
Anybody in the state is invited to do this--if Irons successfully suppresses the King County vote, we don't get Gov. Gregoire or Commissioner Goldmark.
